We are currently looking for a Business Controller who will become a part of Arelions Business Performance team placed in the Groups headoffice in Solna. The finance function is facing numerous exciting projects, including a financial transformation, that will lead to improved financial analysis and value-added insights and increase decision support for both management and the business.
Your main responsibility as Business Controller is to monitor and drive the financial performance of Arelion by providing high-quality business insights and support to improve strategic decision-making by acting as a trusted advisor to the business. This involves forecast, budget, variance analysis, management reporting as well as ad-hoc activities.
To be suitable for the role you need a BSc or MSc degree in Economics and/or Finance, and at least three years of relevant work experience within Accounting and Business Control preferably from international companies. The right candidate is familiar with BI-tools and has experience from converting large amount of data into decision-making information.
We are looking for a hands-on “doer” who shows initiative and describes themselves as a driven problem solver who likes new challenges. You are goal oriented and a critical thinker with high analytical skills.
As the role will have many internal contact areas, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Furthermore, you have strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize in a truly international fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment. Your excel skills are very good and you speak and write English fluently. It is an extra plus if you also speak Swedish. The position reports to the Head of Business Performance.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Business partnering for your area of the business. Support decision-making, planning, and performance management through evaluation of financial impacts, opportunities, risks, etc.
- Manage reporting & planning cycles, including plan, budget, estimates & monthly reporting and analysis, in close collaboration with the business.
- Provide valuable insights on business performance for the business areas through accurate reporting and analysis and ensuring alignment with the overall Arelion strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate performance through analysis, KPIs, and other indicators and provide insightful financial analysis throughout the year.
- Interact and coordinate with stakeholders, preparing presentations and materials for different presentations such as month-end/quarterly reporting, budget and forecast.
- Involvement in digital transformation projects and ongoing improvement initiatives, utilize financial software and tools for analysis and reporting.
