We are now looking for a Tax Controller who wants to join SiriusPoint’s Tax team, consisting of 3 members, for the Europe region. You will have an important role in the company’s tax function and act as a controller and advisor in excise tax matters linked to insurance premiums and VAT. You will report to the Tax Director of Europe and Asia Pacific.
You will have recurring contact with colleagues in the Swedish and European part of the organization and relevant external parties. You will be a part of a close-knit team working together with financial tax reporting, declarations, transfer pricing etc.
We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in accounting work linked to tax and tax reporting. Furthermore, we are seeking someone with a genuine interest in working with tax-related matters. An alternative background is previous experience as an auditor, preferably from Big-4. Meritorious if you have audited companies affected by excise tax. Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken, is mandatory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage reconciliations and reporting for excise duty and VAT.
- Handle tax accounting
- Together with the team, develop process improvements regarding excise duty process for tax on insurance premiums and VAT.
- Responsible for providing reports and analyses for various tax purposes such as transfer pricing, OECD Pillar II etc.
- Together with the team, manage Transfer Pricing issues.
- Work closely with, and support, the Tax Director of Europe & Asia Pacific with important tax analyses and declarations.
- Other ad-hoc tax related tasks and projects.
